The National雖然一陣子沒有推出新作，但樂團依然活躍，除了前陣子在俄亥俄州幫美國總統歐巴馬助選，他們最近也在卡通和電視影集中翻唱歌曲。

Bob's Burgers是一個美國卡通系列，主題圍繞在開漢堡店的Belcher一家人，在即將播出的感恩節一集中，The National唱了一首歌曲，聽到Matt Berninger唱道「殺、殺、殺火雞」真是滑稽。

HBO的影集《Boardwalk Empire》的時空背景是1920、1930年代的美國，該劇集因此找了許多樂團來翻唱當時的老歌，The National翻唱的歌曲是〈I'll See You In My Dreams〉，聽起來輕鬆適意，Isham Jones和The Ray Miller Orchestra的原曲前奏則有華麗的前奏。
