美國鬼才導演David Lynch雖然已有許久沒有拍攝長片，但這幾年反倒是專注在他的音樂創作上。繼2011年的《Crazy Clown Time》後，今年又將在七月十六號發行新專輯《The Big Dream》。David Lynch透露《The Big Dream》這是一張以藍調為基礎的專輯，並且說道：「藍調是一種情感真摯的音樂形式，能夠鼓舞靈魂。我做的音樂不斷回到這種形式，它讓我心情感到愉悅。」
專輯中除了有翻唱Bob Dylan的〈The Ballad of Hollis Brown〉外，還與瑞典女歌手Lykke Li合作一曲〈I’m Waiting Here 〉重現他詭譎的公路電影風格。
